God is Calling through the Whisper

Though I serve as a pastor, I have never heard a voice from heaven or seen a vision of grandeur that told me what to do with my life. Instead, I have been privileged to listen to people’s stories of seemingly small coincidences and happenstances that, in hindsight, have made a great difference in their lives. I say that such stories are our best prayers. Whether you believe in a Higher Power or not, looking back over your life can give you clues about your best future.

Over the course of three consecutive Saturdays (September 28th, October 5th, October 12th) we will gather to read, reflect, and write. I will have written examples from people of different faith traditions who have discovered what it is that they want to do with their one wild and precious life. After discussing these stories, I will guide participants through a series of writing prompts that will invite all to consider where we have been in order that we might glimpse where we want to go.

I hope that you sense a little nudge in your heart or mind that calls you to participate in this workshop. I want to learn with you and from you.
